Non-profit organization “Holocaust and Jewish Resistance Memorial Museum” has been registered.

On June 22, 2026, the Novogrudok District Executive Committee registered the non-profit organization ” Holocaust and Jewish Resistance Memorial Museum.”
The date of its registration lends particular symbolism to this event. The organization was established 85 years after the outbreak of the Holocaust in Belarus—one of the most tragic pages in the history of the Belarusian people and the Jewish community of the country.
The establishment of the museum on this memorable anniversary symbolizes the continuity of historical memory, the desire to preserve the truth about the events of the Holocaust, perpetuate the memory of its victims, and tell future generations about the courage of those who resisted the Nazi regime.
The creation of the non-profit organization is the next important step in the development of the existing Museum of Jewish Resistance in Novogrudok, enabling a long-term development of an international research and educational center. The future memorial complex will become a center for collecting information about the events and victims of the Holocaust, as well as the history of Jewish resistance in the context of the tragic events of World War II in Belarus.
